Trim Swift Festival is a satrical, political, academic and cultural event celebrating the life, works and legacy of Jonathan Swift, and his close connections with the town of Trim.
The Haymaking Festival was held in Trim on the 21st of June. The festival is held in the town every mid-June. The Porchfields, an amenity space rich in historic value, are home to a fair, market, and keeping culture alive.
On Sunday the 5th of July over 450 cyclists took part in the An Post Meath Heritage Cycle Tour. People chose to do the 40km family spin, the 100km Royal Tour or the 160km Royal Challenge.
This was held on the 17/10/09 in the Rathcairn Hall in Meath. Pádarig had spent almost 40 years as a manager of Comarchomann Rathcairn and he was the driving force for much of what happened over those years in the small but important Meath Gaeltacht.
